Dishpacks

Dishpacks - (6 cu. ft.) are used for fragile items such as dishware, glasses and figurines, lamp bases and electronics. Plasma televisions may need professional crating.

• Use double corrugated boxes.
• Cushion the bottom with crumpled packing paper.
• Wrap each piece individually with packing paper.
• Pack plates and saucers on their edge.
• Figurines and fragile items should be wrapped in tissue paper or paper towels and then wrapped a second time in packing paper.
• Do not pack the boxes so heavily that they cannot be easily moved.
• Cushion the top and sides with crumpled packing paper to prevent shifting, tape box closed and mark top and side “fragile” and the contents.

Book Cartons

Book cartons - (1.5 cu. ft) are used for small heavy items such as books, magazines, manuals, files and records.

• Cushion the bottom with crumpled packing paper.
• Pack books on end, alternating bound edges.
• Old or valuable books should be individually wrapped in packing paper.
• Do not pack boxes so heavily that they cannot be easily moved.
• Cushion the top with crumpled packing paper to prevent shifting, tape box closed and mark top and side “Heavy” and the contents.
